Announcement about Kwok’s Passing
Dear IACMR members,
With deep sadness, I am sorry to inform you that Prof. Kwok Leung, a beloved member of our community, passed away last Monday, May 25, 2015. Kwok is survived by his wife Yumi, his son Kirk, and his daughter Eiki.
Many of you know Kwok through his brilliant writings on cross-cultural psychology, justice, social axioms, and harmony. Others of us were fortunate to have journeyed with him as friends, colleagues, co-authors, students, and volunteers at IACMR. In each case, our lives have been and continue to be profoundly enriched by our encounters with Kwok. His brilliant mind, insatiable intellectual curiosity, and spirit of kindness, generosity and service shall always be remembered and treasured in our hearts.
To commemorate Kwok, IACMR has built a website to honor his memory, and you are invited to visit it to contribute your memories of him and bid him farewell . IACMR will also reserve a room to commemorate him at the forthcoming Academy of Management Meetings at Vancouver (tentatively scheduled from 4:00-5:00 pm onSunday, August 9, 2015).
On behalf of IACMR, I would like to express our deepest condolences to Yumi and Kwok’s family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Larry Farh
President of IACMR
