The aims of PDW
As doctoral students researching artificial intelligence, we have faced substantial challenges in developing research proposals, designing methodologies, and drafting our papers. Given the pioneering nature of our topic and our limited experience, we have encountered numerous obstacles. We believe that by sharing our experiences, learning from one another, and engaging in collaborative improvement, we can collectively deepen our understanding and refine our expertise – core objectives of this workshop.
Additionally, we aim to explore the specific research areas each participant is pursuing, examine innovative methodologies, and discuss novel theoretical frameworks. This exchange will broaden our intellectual perspectives and enhance our research capabilities, helping us push beyond the boundaries of traditional management studies. By fostering a collaborative environment, we also hope to counteract the isolation that often accompanies academic work and reignite our passion for scholarly endeavors.
Furthermore, we encourage participating students and faculty members to actively contribute to the discussion by sharing their insights and posing questions. We welcome suggestions on promising research directions in this field and constructive feedback on ways to enhance our research ideas.
The content of PDW
The workshop is structured into three sections.
First, each participant will give a brief, ten-minute presentation on their research, highlighting at least three challenges they encountered and the strategies they used to address them.
In the second section, each participant will have ten minutes to pose questions to the speakers, with a particular emphasis on research ideas. A designated student will take notes during this discussion, compiling a summary document for all participants.
Finally, once all presentations and discussions are complete, the organizer will provide a summary of the key insights and contributions from each participant.
Expected participation
The workshop will be limited to 30 participants, with preference given to doctoral students and assistant professors whose research focuses on organizational behavior and human resource management in the context of artificial intelligence. To ensure a productive and engaging event, we aim to have no more than ten presenters, each allotted approximately 20 minutes to share their findings.
The time required for PDW
The activity will last approximately three to three and a half hours, with the option to divide it into two sessions.
