IACMR Business Meeting & Reception at 2012 AOM
Dear IACMR Members:
Your are cordially invited to the Business Meeting and Reception of the
International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) at the
2012 Academy of Management meeting in Boston! We will review our
activities and achievements in the past year, listen to a panel
discussion on “Qualitative Methods and Creative Research”, and catch up
with old friends with delicious food!
As part of the business meeting, we will feature a panel on the topic of
qualitative methods and creative research, covering issues such as the
current status of knowledge and future research in this area. The panel
is composed of world renowned, authoritative scholars, who use creative
qualitative research methods to advance management theory and research:
• Amy Edmondson, Harvard Business School
• Melissa Graebner, University of Texas at Austin
• Andy Van de Ven, University of Minnesota
This year, IACMR and Guanghua School of Management at Peking University
will host a joint reception at the Academy of Management Meeting, which
will offer Academy members an opportunity to learn about the association
and Guanghua School of Management, and to meet others who are also
interested in management research in the cross-cultural
context--especially that of China. The dean of Guanghua School of
Management— Professor Hongbing Cai, will give a presentation about the
school at the beginning of the Research Panel on Qualitative Research
Methods (research panel will be held before the joint reception) and
give opening remarks at the reception.
